Job Description:
Director of Finance - Insurance & Risk Salary: $110,000-$120,000
base (with flexibility up to $140,000 for exceptional candidates)
up to 15% total bonus potential Location: Frederick, MD (Onsite

all core accounting functions: GL, reconciliations, month-end
close, budgeting, reporting Ensure accurate and timely statutory
filings and compliance with insurance regulations Support
board-level reporting, financial strategy, and investment oversight
Manage financial operations for a newly launched Risk Retention
Group (RRG) Work directly with the CEO to set up scalable financial
systems and internal controls Qualifications: Insurance Finance
Experience: Must have worked in the insurance industry -
specifically property & casualty, captive insurance, RRGs, or MGAs.
Should understand risk frameworks, policy structures, and
industry-specific compliance. Statutory Accounting Expertise: Must
have directly prepared or overseen statutory filings. Deep
knowledge of insurance regulatory frameworks, reporting deadlines,
and compliance requirements. QuickBooks Proficiency This is more
