Job Description:

Beacon Hill Financial is working with an organization in Bethesda, MD to bring a strong Accounts Payable Specialist to their growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payment disbursements, and reconciliation of accounts. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors. This role will require on site work in the Bethesda, MD office. Key Responsibilities: Review and process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders for accuracy and proper approval. Ensure timely payments to vendors via check, ACH, or wire transfer. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records, including W-9s and payment terms. Assist with month-end closing by preparing accounts payable reports and accruals. Support 1099 preparation and reporting in compliance with IRS regulations. Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to address payment-related inquiries. Assist with audits by providing documentation and responding to requests as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. 2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
