Job Description Earn a $20,000 sign-on bonus when you join our team! UPMC offers a sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment. /n Performs imaging procedures at an advanced level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of advanced technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative for diagnostic purposes. /n This position works from Monday to Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with on-call rotation. /n Responsibilities: /n /n - Performs all job responsibilities of Level I MRI Technologist including practices and maintains MR safety in the department, addresses patient safety through proper patient identification, labeling/preparation/and administration of contrast and communicating according to standard operating procedures, completes procedures according to protocol while presenting relevant information to physician, and updates and documents patient information into rad assessment. /n - Demonstrates complete operation of specialty equipment, analyzes data promptly, and completes quality control activities. /n - Promptly responds to medical editing requests. /n - Demonstrates the ability to function independently, and is able to cover off shifts, on-call responsibilities, and perform services at satellite facilities, where applicable, while continually communicating with lead and management team. /n - Performs or assists Clinical Specialist in performing QA, regulatory testing, and other technical and research initiatives. /n /n - Completion of formal training in MRI-related program accredited by the ARRT. /n - 2 years MRI experience required for Advanced role. /n - Will consider less experience or new graduate for the MRI Technologist role. /n /n Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: ARRT MR Certified. CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. /n /n - ARRT Certificate /n - Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) /n - Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal /n - Act 33 with renewal /n - Act 34 with renewal /n - Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal /n /n UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
