Job Description - Education & Practice Specialist (250001CY)Job DescriptionDescriptionThe Education and Practice Specialist, under the guidance of the Transport Clinical Manager, enhances clinical outcomes by developing and educating nurses and paramedics on the Transport Team. This role promotes professional growth through knowledge acquisition, competency validation, and lifelong learning, while leading and coordinating Nurse and Paramedic educators. All practice aligns with legal, national, and organizational standards, policies, and regulations. The Specialist collaborates with leadership to review performance audits and address clinical knowledge gaps identified through quality improvement processes.QualificationsMinimum EducationBachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field (Required)Minimum Work ExperienceAt least 5 years of clinical experience in emergency or critical care, including 2 years in pediatric or neonatal care (Required)2 years of healthcare teaching experience (Required)Transport experience (Preferred)Required Skills/KnowledgeQualified as a Transport Team Nurse or ParamedicAbility to provide culturally sensitive care and CPR instructionRequired Licenses and CertificationsRegistered Nurse license in District of Columbia or applicable specialty license/certificationACLS, BLS, and PALS Instructor certifications preferredFunctional AccountabilitiesProfessional Practice
