Job Description Job Description SUMMARY -Lititz Christian
School, a Christ-centered educational community serving students
from early childhood through grade 12, is seeking a passionate and
dedicated high school Social Studies teacher. The ideal candidate
will foster a dynamic learning environment where students can
explore history, geography, economics, civics, and world cultures
through the lens of a biblical worldview. This teacher will be
responsible for preparing students to think critically, engage with
the world around them, and develop a solid understanding of
historical and contemporary issues that shape societies, all while
pointing them to the truth of Gods Word. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement rigorous unit plans and lessons that meet
the needs of all students with clear, standard-aligned objectives
and appropriate assessments to gauge student comprehension. -
Integrate Biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of
education throughout the social studies curriculum. - Use a range
of instructional techniques, such as lectures, group discussions,
group work, and hands-on activities to help students understand
scientific concepts. - Maintain a positive and safe learning
environment and manage student behavior effectively. - Assess and
accommodate students' learning needs and styles. - Communicate
regularly with parents, providing updates on student progress and
engaging them as partners in their childs education. - Assess
student understanding through a range of methods, such as tests,
quizzes and projects. - Assess and evaluate student progress,
providing constructive feedback and tailored support to ensure
academic success. - Collaborate with fellow faculty and staff to
integrate cross-curricular projects and school-wide initiatives. -
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades and any
disciplinary actions in accordance with school policies.
