Job Description Job Description Position Title: Special Education Teacher – Autism (SPED Autism) Location: Leesburg, VA 20175 Job Type: Contract (Local or Travel) Duration: 18 Weeks Schedule: Day Shift | 8:50 AM – 3:40 PM Hours: 37.5 per week Pay Rate: $40–$45/hour Job Summary "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher – Autism (SPED Autism) to provide individualized academic and behavioral instruction to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a school-based setting. This role supports student growth in academic, communication, social-emotional, behavioral, and functional skills in alignment with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Key Responsibilities Provide direct special education instruction to students with ASD Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA and state regulations Deliver structured, evidence-based, and individualized instruction Implement behavior intervention plans and positive behavior supports Support students in individual, small-group, and inclusive classroom settings Collect and document data to track progress toward IEP goals Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team meetings Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education Active or eligible Virginia Special Education teaching license or endorsement Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education compliance Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills Preferred Experience with moderate to severe autism Familiarity with inclusion/co-teaching models Training in ABA strategies or autism-specific interventions For more details contact at pmohanty@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-806-4227 .
