(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.

considered. A position is available for a skilled Sign Language
Interpreter to support students and staff within a school
environment. This role requires expertise in American Sign Language
(ASL) to facilitate clear and effective communication, ensuring an
inclusive learning experience for all participants. Key
Responsibilities: Provide accurate and effective sign language
interpretation during classroom instruction, meetings, and school
events. Collaborate with educators, students, and families to
support communication access. Assist in fostering an accessible and
welcoming environment for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.
Adapt interpreting techniques to suit different educational
settings and needs. Participate in ongoing professional development
to stay current with best practices and terminology. Desired Skills
and Experience: Proficiency in American Sign Language with
demonstrated experience interpreting in educational settings.
Strong understanding of deaf culture and the unique challenges
faced by deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Excellent interpersonal
and communication skills. Ability to travel as required to support
multiple school locations or events. Flexibility and adaptability
to changing schedules and environments. Location: Silver Spring,
