Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. A K-5 Special Education Teacher position is available
in Washington, DC for the current school year on a contract basis.
This role is designed for a dedicated educator with a DC Special
Education license who is passionate about supporting students with
special needs in a K-5 school environment. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specially designed instruction in both push-in and pull-out
formats to a caseload of approximately 10 students. Collaborate
with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom
settings. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs
(IEPs) tailored to student needs. Monitor student progress and
communicate regularly with families and school staff. Participate
in team meetings and contribute to a positive and supportive
learning environment. Qualifications: Valid DC Special Education
teaching certification. Experience working with elementary-aged
children (K-5) in special education settings. Ability to manage a
caseload of 10 students with varied learning needs. Strong
communication and collaboration skills. Willingness to complete
school-specific onboarding and fingerprint clearance as required.
Location and Schedule: Position based in Washington, DC within a
K-12 school setting. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Immediate
start, continuing through the end of the current school year.
