Job Description:
Be part of Amazon Web Services (AWS)'s world-class safety team
as an Electrical Safety Program Manager, supporting the industry's
leading cloud computing infrastructure. We seek an electrical
safety expert to shape and advance our comprehensive safety
initiatives. In this role, you will: Lead strategic development of
electrical safety programs, Provide expert field safety guidance
and consultation, Develop and implement safety protocols and
standards, Conduct in-depth analysis of electrical safety
challenges, Deliver innovative solutions to complex safety issues,
Partner with teams across AWS to ensure electrical safety
excellence. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant

cutting-edge cloud infrastructure. The AWS Health and Safety
(H&S) team is an expanding a dynamic team that is critical to
enabling AWS’s growth around the world, as well as ensuring
compliance of AWS’s global operations, including physical data
centers, as well as other AWS facilities, customer-facing
enterprises and products. The H&S team has responsibility for
architecting and implementing AWS’s global safety programs. This
includes defining and implementing risk management and compliance
systems and driving their continuous improvement; setting and
refining global policies and procedures; overseeing the development
of standards, tools, auditing and metrics, and employee training;
ensuring effective engagement by H&S teams on global
initiatives, including those that are part of Amazon’s ambitious
sustainability goals; providing specialist expertise; and engaging
with all AWS business units to provide scalable and H&S
compliance strategies that support current and future business
objectives while ensuring employee safety and compliance with
H&S regulations. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated
electrical safety expert with a solid knowledge in electrical
safety, and a proven track record of designing, deploying, and
managing electrical safety programs. They will have a history of
building partnerships with diverse teams across multiple
jurisdictions. The candidate must have the ability to define clear
requirements in ambiguity, proactively educate team members,
leaders, and other support teams, and communicate effectively and
consistently throughout all levels of the business. The role will
evolve with the maturity and growth of the program and requires a
high degree of flexibility, including the ability to deep dive into
time critical programs and projects, and deliver continuous
improvement actions. Key job responsibilities • Maintain an up to
date understanding of Electrical Safety regulatory requirements and
be able to build compliance systems and programs around these
requirements. • Develop and improve maintenance programs and
policies for electrical systems, including audits of existing
programs in compliance with local codes and global standards •
Partner with Risk Management and other key stakeholders in changes
to the electrical system maintenance programs, aligning with
insurance requirements as applicable, including system inspections
and testing • Perform detailed calculations to establish standards
and specifications • Inspect installations and observe operations
to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and
safety standards. • Support operations, construction, and other
relevant departments with product development and testing • Audit
electrical system maintenance practices globally to identify
deviations and corrective actions. • Monitor trends in electrical
system maintenance reports, and escalate as necessary to drive
improvements to maintenance activities, or immediate corrective
actions to electrical systems. • Develop and improve installation,
commissioning, and inspection processes, including audit practices,
related to electrical systems. • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in
electrical safety. Consult, answer questions, perform studies,
research and direct electrical safety operations and procedures. •
Strategic planning and roadmap development at a program level •

directly with members of the electrical safety team, Data Center
Health and Safety (DCHS) teams, Data Center Operations (DCO), and
the various AWS Engineering teams to focus on developing and
implementing electrical safety solutions. About the team AWS

Experience in technical product or program management - Bachelor’s
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety,
related field of study or equivalent working experience - 5 years
of Electrical Safety Program experience - 5 years of Experience in
Electrical system design or Operation and Maintenance - Familiarity
with international product safety, electrical safety codes and
regulatory standards: including CUE, IEC, ISO 13849, IEC 62061,
ANSI/RIA 15.06, NFPA 70E, UL 508A, IEC 60204 - Experience leading
change in multiple site environments and influenceing those that
are not direct reports or within your organization - Knowledge of
MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems - Professional
engineer (PE) certification or Certified Electrical Safety
Compliance Professional (CESCP) - Expert understanding of NFPA 70 -
Expert understanding of global electrical standards and

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
