Job Summary

We have a current opening for a Dining Room Manager who will be for managing dining staff, greeting residents and guests, accommodating special requests, resolving complaints, filing company reports, ordering supplies, and making sure the dining area is clean and organized.

  • Prepare weekly schedules, adjusting for community events, and maintaining budget controls
  • Hands-on training of new staff
  • Develop high levels of communication with residents to meet changing dietary and service needs
  • Direct and manage all food and beverage staff for front of house operations
  • Ensure resident satisfaction through a top-notch dining experience
  • Assist in maintaining all departmental documentation according to State and Federal regulations
  • Assist with menus and meal preparations, including family and department events and catering menus
  • Assist in the maintenance of inventory control of food, alcohol, supplies and equipment
  • Cover shifts resulting from call-off
  • Provide safe and comfortable work environments
  • Monitor all food handling proceduresQualifications
    • Experience in Foods, Nutrition, Management or related field
    • Two years minimum of progressive management experience
    • Assist with financial goals through proper staffing and inventory control
    • Knowledge of various computer systems, particularly Excel and Word
    • High degree of accuracy in all assignments with the ability to manage time effectively
    • Strength in initiative with good judgment while employing professional ethics
    • Possess a pleasant manner with great communication skills and the ability to motivate
    • Availability to work evenings and / or weekendsRequired qualifications:
      • Legally authorized to work in the United StatesPreferred qualifications:
        • 16 years or older
