Function: Lead government relations expert for defense and space
programs related to Honeywell's Aerospace Technologies Control
Systems Strategic Business Unit.Reporting: Reports to Vice
President, Global Government Relations, Aerospace
Technologies.Location: 101 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, DC
20001Responsibilities:
- Serve as Honeywell's representative to Congress and the
Administration, developing and executing advocacy and legislative
campaigns to support business objectives.
- Manage activities related to the Honeywell International
Political Action Committee (HIPAC), including lobbying efforts and
representing Honeywell at political fundraisers. Support employee
recruitment activities.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of legislative processes,
identifying and sharing relevant legislative analysis with company
stakeholders and leaders.Key Responsibilities:
- Secure policy and appropriation outcomes
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships
- Provide advice and recommendations on legislation, regulatory,
and policy matters
- Support the company's business objectivesU.S. PERSON
REQUIREMENTS: Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and
regulations, candidates must be U.S. Persons, defined as U.S.
citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals with protected
status under asylum or refugee status.YOU MUST HAVE
- Experience: Ten or more years working in the U.S. Congress for
a Member or as professional staff on defense authorization or
appropriation committees. Relevant experience in trade
associations, public policy organizations, corporate government
affairs, or legislative affairs is also considered.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; postgraduate degrees in
business, political science, policy, engineering, international
relations, law, or related fields preferred.
- Expertise: Extensive knowledge of Congressional operations,
including authorizations and appropriations. Strong verbal and
written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and
basic IT understanding.WE VALUE
