Responsible for learning all store operations. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager leads the store to ensure standards and best practices are met.Essential FunctionsGeneral Operating Requirements:
    • Leads all company best practices and maximizes productivity.
    • Assists in analyzing store reports for expenses and performance.
    • Communicates variances to standards to the Store Manager.
    • Ensures proper scheduling and compliance with regulations.
    • Oversees cleaning tasks, including restrooms.
    • Handles special assignments and payroll administration.Organizational Development:
      • Assists in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing associates.
      • Ensures policy compliance and addresses associate relations issues.Expense Control:
        • Monitors expenditures and controls payroll hours.Maintaining a Safe & Secure Environment:
          • Practices safe behaviors and understands emergency procedures.
          • Ensures safety policies are followed.Customer Service:
            • Provides respectful, courteous, and professional service.
            • Supervises and coaches associates in customer service and merchandise presentation.Personal and Store Brand:
              • Represents the company brand and maintains a professional appearance.
              • Ensures a clean, organized, and easy-to-shop environment.Merchandise Processing and In-Store Marketing:
                • Ensures merchandise recovery, sizing, and markdowns meet standards.
                • Organizes merchandise according to guidelines.Loss Prevention:
                  • Trains associates on loss prevention and store security.
                  • Safeguards confidential information and merchandise.
                  • Leads inventory processes and monitors policies.Competencies

                      • At least two years of store or assistant manager experience in retail.
                      • Ability to motivate, supervise, and communicate positively.
                      • Multitasking, prioritization, and independent judgment skills.
                      • High-quality customer service skills.
                      • Fluency in English.
                      • Availability to work evenings and weekends.
                      • Basic math skills used in retail.Physical Requirements/ADA
                        • Ability to use store equipment and spend time standing and moving.
                        • Ability to lift over 25 lbs and perform physical tasks.Supervisory Responsibilities
