for generations to come.Purpose:Jesuit education, also known as
Ignatian education, is an approach to education inspired by the

and ethical development, and the holistic formation of individuals.

religious backgrounds.The Student Activities Director is a part of
the team dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive student
life experience at Seattle Prep. This position oversees club
moderators and supports the smooth functioning of co-curricular
activities. This includes overseeing budgets, event planning,
evaluating program effectiveness, and communications regarding club
events. The Student Activities Director reports to the Assistant
Principal for Community and Belonging. The FTE allocation for this
role is roughly 40% Student Activities Director and 60% serving
another school need, such as teaching.Essential Duties &
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support club moderators for the 30+ co-curricular
clubs at Seattle Prep.
- Lead the hiring process for new moderators.
- Monitor budgets, support events, and evaluate program
effectiveness in collaboration with moderators.
- Schedule standing meetings with club moderators and meetings
among moderators to facilitate collaboration.
- Oversee the new club application, creation, and evaluation
process.
- Co-lead the Ignatian Leadership Conference and participate in
similar student leadership development programs.
- Integrate the faith formation, leadership development, and DEIB
pillars of Prep's mission into club programs and activities.
- Oversee club representation at Open House and other admissions
events.
- Lead recruitment and marketing efforts for co-curricular clubs,
including Club and Window fairs and promotion through various
platforms.
- Work with the AP for Community and Belonging on new student
welcoming programs. Serve in a leadership role for Panther Day,
Freshman and Transfer Orientations, and similar events.
- Evaluate programs and envision new ways to create a welcoming
culture through club participation.
- Maintain a highly visible presence throughout the school and at
school-sponsored activities/events.
- Assist with supervision of various activities, including
serving as an administrative presence at some dances, sporting, and
co-curricular events.
- Enhance participation and engagement in existing and future
co-curricular activities.
- Serve on various committees and leadership teams as
requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree and three years of related experience, or a
combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the
essential functions of the job.
- All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to Prep's mission
and values, especially as it relates to diversity, equity,
inclusion, and belonging.
- Supportive of the mission of a Catholic, Jesuit high school and
formation of the whole person.
- Experience in program implementation, execution, and
evaluation.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, communication, and
organizational skills.
- Experience working with high school students in extracurricular
programming, leadership development, or student engagement
roles.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
with the ability to plan and oversee a variety of student
activities, clubs, and events.Other Details:
- Job Classification: Exempt. This position is not eligible for
overtime pay.
- Salary Range: $26,000 - $30,000 annually for this part-time
role; may be combined with another role at the school for full-time
employment. Salary is determined based on internal equity, internal
salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant
experience, degrees, certifications.Our outstanding benefits
package includes an allowance of $19,800 annually (pro-rated for
part-time employment) that may be applied to benefits including
medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and flexible
spending account. Employees who do not elect insurance may choose
to receive the benefits allowance as supplemental pay. Our 403b
program includes up to a 7.5% employer contribution when employee
match considerations are met. Tuition remission, generous time off,
sick leave, and a school-sponsored medical leave program are also
significant parts of our benefits package.Application
