Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2 years of interventional radiology experience and required MD RT-R ARRT, ACLS, and BLS certifications. Responsibilities - Work in a short term acute care hospital's cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology lab - Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 40 hours per week - On-call required every other week: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:30 PM to 10:00 PM, and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM - Holiday coverage required every other holiday - Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity - Special procedures include interventional (catheter placements, embolizations, drain and peg placements), pain (epidural blocks, radiofrequency ablation), and vascular (angiograms, thrombectomies, fistulograms, IVC filters) - Uses Siemens, GE, and Philips Azurion C-arm equipment and Cerner EMR - Duties include performing a range of interventional, vascular, and pain management procedures in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team - Scrubs are provided - Magnet certified facility - Training modules required pre-start and may be assigned during orientation - Return staff must not have worked at the facility within the past 12 months - Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted over the 13-week contract; no time off allowed in the first two weeks - Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate - Team support and orientation details provided upon hire Requirements - Minimum of 2 years interventional radiology or cath lab experience required - Current MD license and RT-R ARRT required - BLS and ACLS certifications required - Experience with angioplasty, embolization, IVC filter placement, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, paracentesis, stent placement, thoracentesis, catheter/drain exchange, and central venous access - Proficiency in accurate patient monitoring, EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, and use of PACS - Cerner EMR experience required or expected - Computed tomography, ultrasound, and IV start skills preferred - First-time travelers will not be considered for this position - License required if applicable Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-594022.
