Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Brooklyn, MD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,023 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/24/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required License: Must hold a valid nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. First-time travelers accepted. Every 3rd weekend required as needed. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in MS/Tele. The nurse will be assigned to a cardiac telemetry unit. Nursing responsibilities include care for adults and geriatric patients. Patient diagnosis may include atrial fibrillation, chest pain rule out, arrhythmias, heart failure, COPD, and diabetes. The nursing staff will work as part of an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Telemetry monitoring skills are required, particularly in interpreting dysrhythmias. Nurses will manage cardiac drips, perform phlebotomy, and care for central and peripheral lines. Nurses will float to other units as needed. Patient ratios are typically 1:4 and may go up to 6 as needed. The daily census is approximately 30 patients. Nurses must be comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Ongoing education and training may be required throughout the duration of the assignment.
