Occupational Therapist Location: Brooklyn Park, MD Agency: United Health Care Staffing Pay: $53 per hour Shift Information: Days Contract Duration: 13 Days Start Date: ASAP About the Position Occupational Therapist Location: Brooklyn Park, MD Start Date: 02-23-2026 End Date: 05-25-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, days not specified (Day shift) Hours per Week: 35 Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour Roles & Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients using evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to maximize independence Develop individualized treatment plans and functional goals that are meaningful to each patient Document patient progress clearly and timely to ensure continuity of care Collaborate with nurses, PTs, SLPs and physicians to coordinate holistic care Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques, home programs and community resources Participate in team meetings and contribute clinical expertise to improve patient outcomes Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards while maintaining person-centered care Qualifications Current Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of practice or ability to obtain state licensure promptly Degree in Occupational Therapy (BS/OT, MOT, OTD or equivalent) from an accredited program Clinical experience in occupational therapy; travel/contract experience is a plus Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start Strong documentation skills and comfort with electronic medical records Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered mindset Education Degree in Occupational Therapy (BS/OT, MOT, OTD or equivalent) Knowledge & Skills Skilled in assessment and intervention planning for adult and/or pediatric populations Knowledge of adaptive equipment, splinting basics and ADL training Proficient documentation and discharge planning practices Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment Good clinical reasoning, time management and prioritization skills Benefits Generous housing support and travel assistance for the duration of your assignment Medical, dental and vision coverage to keep you healthy and focused on care Licensure assistance and reimbursement to help you work across states Paid time off so you can recharge between shifts A supportive team environment where your clinical voice matters Continuing education and professional development opportunities Referral program that rewards you for introducing great colleagues Robust onboarding and access to clinical resources to set you up for success Travel Perks: Explore Brooklyn Park, MD Brooklyn Park sits close to the best of the Baltimore-Annapolis corridor.
