Job Description:
Join the compassionate team at Encompass Health Mechanicsburg as
part of our Nurse Residency program, designed for recent nursing
graduates or nurses looking to transition into rehabilitative care.
This program provides guided, clinical experience, enabling new
nurses to become skilled, thoughtful, and resilient practitioners
in a supportive environment. As a nurse resident at our facility,
you'll be involved directly in the comprehensive care of patients
recovering from serious illnesses and injuries, working to improve
their functionality and quality of life. The residency combines
on-the-job learning with structured educational sessions to enhance
your capabilities in specialized rehabilitative nursing. Provide
compassionate and effective patient care based on individualized
treatment plans. Assist in the implementation of care programs to
aid patient recovery and ensure treatment adherence. Monitor
patient health and record signs vital for recovery and improvement.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical
therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians to facilitate
comprehensive care. Engage in training and development activities
as part of the residency curriculum. Support patient and family
education concerning in-hospital care processes and post-discharge
practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability
to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary health team.
Proficiency in using healthcare software and systems. Critical
thinking and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of patient care and
safety protocols. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license. BLS/CPR certification
required within the first 3 months of employment.
