Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization
in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated
Registered Nurse (RN) for our Labor and Delivery department. This
role requires compassionate, patient-focused care designed to meet
the unique needs of mothers and infants during the birthing
process. As part of our team, you will work in a supportive
environment that emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and
continuous improvement in patient care. Monitor patient health and
progress in labor and postpartum periods. Administer medications
and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers. Collaborate
with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare
professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Educate and support
patients and families through the labor and delivery process.
Implement patient care plans and assist with procedures as needed.
Document all patient care services and interactions in patient care
records. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying
with procedures, rules, and regulations. Strong clinical skills in
labor and delivery Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment
Proficiency in electronic health record systems Medical Insurance

Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) certification preferred Neonatal Resuscitation
Program (NRP) certification preferred
