Job Description:
MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray
Technologist to join our team. Located in the vibrant
D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, MedStar Health is a leading
not-for-profit healthcare organization committed to providing
top-tier medical services. As an X-ray Technologist, you will play
a crucial role in our diagnostic team, utilizing state-of-the-art
imaging technology to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of
patients. This position requires precision, reliability, and a
patient-centric approach to healthcare. Performing diagnostic
imaging examinations using X-ray equipment Adjusting the equipment
to optimize image quality Keeping patient records and adjusting
records as needed Maintaining equipment and handling preventive
maintenance requirements Following strict safety protocols to
protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure
Assisting radiologists with image interpretation and
decision-making Communicating effectively with patients, explaining
procedures, and ensuring their comfort and safety during exams
Operational knowledge of X-ray and other diagnostic imaging
equipment Strong attention to detail and excellent patient care
skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
and RIS (Radiology Information System) Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified and
registered as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Valid state licensure as
required
