The MedStar Montgomery Medical Center is a 120-bed full-service ANCC Magnet-recognized facility located in the historic enclave of Olney Maryland, situated nearly equally between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore Maryland, and is part of the 10-hospital MedStar Health system. The 12-bed ICU admits a wide array of patient diagnoses ranging from neuro, cardiac, G.I., renal and vascular ailments, to post-operative procedures. As part of an American Heart Association Gold-Plus Certified Primary Stroke Center, the ICU also manages patients recovering from acute strokes including those who have received thrombolytic therapy. Nurses work 12-hour day or night shifts (non-rotating) and participate in self-scheduling. Average patient-to-nurse assignments are 2:1 with a dedicated charge nurse on each shift. Positions Available: Full-time : 7a-7p Key Responsibilities As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans.
