: We are seeking an experienced Catering Sales Manager for The
Chase Center on the Riverfront. Unit Description: The Chase Center
on the Riverfront is Delaware's premier destination for events,
conferences, and banquets, featuring over 75,000 square feet of
versatile space. From intimate gatherings of 10 to large-scale
galas and events for up to 3,000 guests, the venue is recognized
for its seamless service, elegant settings, and memorable
experiences. Job Overview : We are seeking a dynamic and
results-driven Catering Sales Manager to join our team at the Chase
Center. This role is responsible for driving catering and event
revenues through proactive sales efforts and relationship
management across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. From
prospecting and contract negotiation to post-sale communication,
the Catering Sales Manager will manage the full client lifecycle,
ensuring that each event reflects the highest standards of service
and guest satisfaction. This position requires close collaboration
with the planning team to ensure smooth execution of all contracted
events, with an emphasis on accuracy, communication, and exceeding
client expectations. Essential Responsibilities : Generate catering
and event revenue through targeted prospecting, client retention,
and regional outreach. Develop and implement sales strategies to
meet or exceed quarterly & annual revenue goals. Conduct site
tours, client presentations, and lead contract negotiations.
Customize proposals based on client vision, event requirements, and
budget. Coordinate effectively with the planning team to ensure
client expectations are translated into actionable event details.
Maintain accurate records within the Delphi event management
system, including proposals, contracts, and specifications.
Qualifications/Skills : Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business,
or a related field - or equivalent industry experience. Previous
experience in catering event sales, conference services, or event
planning. Proven success in generating sales and building long-term
client relationships. Strong knowledge of catering trends, food and
beverage, and event operations. Excellent communication,
presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a
fast-paced, goal-driven, high-volume environment. Proficient in
Microsoft Office; experience with Delphi is preferred. Preferred

Exceptional attention to detail and passion for guest satisfaction.
Self-motivated, with excellent time management and problem-solving
abilities. Work Schedule & Reporting: Primarily a Monday–Friday,
business-hours role . Flexibility required to support evening or
weekend events as needed. Reports directly to the Director of
Sales. Other Requirements : Able to work effectively and safely
while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive
noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able
to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment. Hours may be
extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays. Why
