and Hong Kong. Summary of Position: Penta is seeking a Staffing and
Resource Manager to join us in our Washington, DC, headquarters and
oversee resource management for the US Advisory business line. The
Staffing and Resource Manager is responsible for managing effective
allocation of resources against client needs and aligning
professional development goals for individuals on the team to the
needs of the business. This person will report to the VP of People
in the US and play a critical role in the employee experience for
Advisory teammates while delivering strong results for clients.
Successful candidates will have previous experience in resource
management within a professional services environment, strong
relationship-building skills, and an aptitude for data analysis.

About the US Advisory team at Penta: The US Advisory team works
with clients across a wide range of sectors and issues, helping
them navigate complex policy and political landscapes and
communicate effectively with all of their stakeholders. Our typical
support for clients may include assessing how changes in the
political environment impact a client's priority issues; developing
and testing effective messages; and executing strategies to reach
and influence target audiences, leveraging earned media, owned
content, and other tactics. The Staffing and Resource Manager is
expected to: - Lead the allocation of consultant resources by
balancing multiple priorities including fulfilling client service
requirements, providing professional opportunities for growth and
learning, and maintaining margins on projects - Maintain current
reports through Salesforce and Resource Hero, ensuring systems and
tools reflect the latest needs based on system inputs and
qualitative checks with project managers - Lead fulfillment of
staffing requests from senior leaders, ensuring their resource
needs are met for new business proposals and current client teams
in a timely manner without sacrificing quality of outcome - Resolve
resource allocation conflicts in collaboration with VP of People
and US Advisory business line leadership - Create and present a
monthly presentation on project margin analysis for the business
line in collaboration with the finance team - Compile and analyze
resource management reports (available resources, current resource
allocations, resource needs due to changing project needs, etc) for
delivery to management as needed - Collaborate with the finance
team, contract team, and HR team to ensure we always have an
up-to-date and accurate picture of resources against contracted
revenue - Manage relationships with each individual in the US
Advisory team, ensuring each person’s personal and professional
development interests are incorporated into staffing decisions -
Maintain database of staffing information and leverage ChatGPT and
other relevant technology to facilitate easier staffing decisions -
Facilitate training for new employees on the staffing structure and
process, ensuring training materials and guides are relevant and up
to date - Partner with project managers and employees to ensure
weekly time submissions are entered accurately and on time -
Proactively identify risks and opportunities in the US Advisory
staffing portfolio, make effective recommendations on how to
correct them, and escalate complex issues to leadership as needed -
Collaborate across service lines/different departments in order to
further the employee experience The ideal candidate will have: - 5
years of experience in resource management, ideally in a
professional services environment - Educational background in
business, operations, human resources, and/or significant training
and experience in analytical tools (Excel, Salesforce, Resource
Hero, etc.) - Experience creating insightful reports,
presentations, and forecasts that allow for actionable, strategic
decision making - Ability to embrace change and maintain a
continuous learning mindset - Strong relationship-building,
coaching and employee development skills - An entrepreneurial
spirit, with the ability to take initiative to solve problems
creatively and decisively - Strong customer service mentality with
a positive attitude and friendly demeanor - Demonstrated ability to
prioritize multiple, competing demands and deliver results under
tight deadlines - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong appreciation for organization and attention to detail -
High degree of integrity, with the ability to maintain
professionalism and confidentiality at all times - Proficiency in
Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office Suite - Experience working
in a hybrid environment, preferably in a professional services,
communications, and/or research firm Salary Range: The base salary
range for this position will be $90,000 - $120,000 per year,
depending on a candidate’s experience and qualifications as they

Location and Hybrid Schedule: Our headquarters is in Washington, DC
and most of the local team operates on a hybrid schedule. For this
position, we are only considering applicants who are available to
join our team in our downtown DC office in person three to four
days a week. (After onboarding we can consider more flexibility
