Job Description:
Strongbridge has an exciting opportunity for a talented Scrum
Master with a passion for innovation to support our work with the
US Department of Transportation (DOT), NHTSA. Ideal candidates
should be self-starters who value their work and the contributions
of their team members. The Scrum Master will lead multiple teams to
support the development of software products used by the DOT and
the public at large to help ensure the safety of drivers and
passengers on public roadways.
Candidates must be clearable for a Public Trust Position - must be
a US Citizen or Permanent Resident or is authorized to work in US,
who has lived in the US for more than 3 years.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Lead and participate in multiple projects, including leading
meetings and guiding conversations.
- Facilitate Scrum Events (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand ups,
Sprint Review, etc.)
- Assist the Product Owner in backlog management, prioritization,
and refinement.
- Encourage self-organization and continuous improvement within
the team.
- Monitor team performance using Agile metrics (velocity,
burndown charts, cycle time, etc.).
- Create and maintain project summaries and updates, project
schedules by developing project plans and specifications,
estimating time and resources, monitoring milestone completion,
tracking all phases of the project lifecycle, providing timely
reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating
actions and resolving conflicts, meeting minutes and
schedules.
- Provide project level analysis - producing required project
analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use
cases, sequence diagrams, current state and future state proposals,
UAT plan).
- Ability to analyze and synthesize business requirements,
including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing
processes.
- Meet with project team regularly to review project deliverables
and deadlines.
- Collaborate closely with the development teams to implement the
requirements, develop and execute test plans.
- Demonstrated fluency in business processes and process
differentiation.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree with at least 7+ years Project
Coordination/Management experience.
- 10+ years of experience in IT, software development, or
government contracting.
- Must demonstrate a solid understanding of Software Development
Lifecycle (SDLC) with knowledge of Agile software methodologies and
best practices.
- Strong experience planning and managing Agile Sprint cycles
using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and
meeting management expertise with strong presentation and
facilitation skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage various projects
simultaneously.
- Experience acting as a Scrum Master and managing Scrum
ceremonies.
- Experience developing process flows that capture the current
state (AsIs) and future state (To-Be) of an application or
process.
- Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Professional Suite (Word,
Excel, & PowerPoint.
- High attention to detail and organization.
Desired Skills:
- PMP or PMI-ACP Certified
- Certified Scrum Master
- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and Agile engineering
principles.
Pay Range: $125,000 - $145,000
The posted pay range reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
