Position Description: CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for an AI/ML Lead Engineer within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. The AI/ML Lead Engineer is a senior-level professional with expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, model development, and operationalization. The AI/ML Lead Engineer designs, develops, and deploys scalable AI/ML systems, providing technical leadership, mentoring teams, and defining best practices for model development, deployment, and optimization, focusing on end-to-end lifecycles from research to production, often involving generative AI, NLP, or computer vision, and ensuring alignment with business goals and responsible AI principles. This position is located in our Arlington, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Your future duties and responsibilities: . Leadership & Management: Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor talent, manage stakeholders, and drive results. . Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to bridge technical and business audiences. . Technical Acumen: Broad understanding of IT systems, software, infrastructure, and security principles. . Strategic Thinking: Ability to align programs with overall company strategy and understand broader objectives. . Project Management Methodologies: Proficiency in SAFe, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches. . Financial Management: Expertise in budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation. . Risk Management: Skill in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating project risks. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . Education and/or Experience: advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field and at least 8 years of experience in AI/ML implementation . Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Poly . Travel: Must be available for worldwide assignment based on mission needs at government-specified locations, including CCMD environments. Desired: - Experience with AI/ML lifecycle management and NIST AI Risk Management Framework Certifications: o SAFe Agilist (SA) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), o SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), and/or o SAFe DevOps Practitioner (SDP) CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $218,200.00.
