Job Title: Sterile Processor Profession: Sterile Processor - Certified Specialty: SH Sterile Processing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 8 (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) Experience: 2 years as a Sterile Processor License: High school diploma, GED, or college degree Certifications: CRCST, CBSPD, or HSPA or IAHCSMM certification Must-Have: Completed 1 full travel assignment Description: Monday to Friday evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Includes rotating weekends. Prepares sterile supplies such as instrumentation, med/surg supplies, and metal ware for use throughout the facility. Preparation of supplies includes decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution. Responsible for operating equipment utilized for these processes such as washer/decontaminators and sterilizers. Plays an important role in the delivery of quality patient care by understanding and utilizing good infection control practices related to decontamination and sterilization.
