agency Responsibilities Organizational Location: This position is
with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and
Border Protection, Office of Professional Responsibility,
Investigative Operations Division (IOD) in Washington, DC. This
position starts at a salary of $142,701.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to
$170,800.00 (GS-15, Step 10) with promotion potential to$170,800.00
(GS-15 Step 10). This position will be a Director assigned to IOD
Headquarters responsible for overseeing a team of criminal
investigators and professional staff responsible for managing field
or headquarters operations. Manage and oversee the complete range
of OPR's investigative activities, both domestic and international,
and ensure OPR's investigative activities support the broader CBP
integrity strategy and overall mission objectives; Establish and
maintain relationships with local agency heads and counterparts at
an organizational level and represent OPR to other headquarters
elements, federal law enforcement agencies, and other governmental
and non-governmental agencies; Exercise broad knowledge of CBP
operational and administrative law enforcement functions; and
Critically review and provide comments and recommendations to upper
management officials on new or proposed legislation, regulations,
policies and administrative laws that have significant potential
impact on CBP and OPR operations and programs. Special Appointing
