Experienced Medical Assistant in Montgomery
are seeking experienced certified Medical Assistants to join our
MedStar Ambulatory Services is committed to providing world-class,

Performs clinical and administrative duties in an Ambulatory
setting consistent with policies and procedures. Works under the
supervision of a physician and performs data collection,
venipuncture, laboratory testing, patient follow up, and assisting
providers with patient exams. This position documents, as
appropriate, in the medical records and supports optimal patient
flow. Ability to work with 4 or more Specialty areas as needed.
Must have knowledge base of multispecialty areas and a high degree
of flexibility and willingness to learn.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Calls in refill prescription medications for patients after
physician approval and documentation; completes requisitions for
tests (only if certified).
school graduation or equivalent; completion of an approved Medical
(Certified Medical Assistant) by the American Association of
Medical Assistants or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) through
the American Medical Technologists within 6 months from hire date;
- Ability to type 40 words per minute; basic computer skills;
excellent verbal /written communication and customer service
skills. Clinical competency as verified during the initial 90 day
