About the Opportunity
DMI, LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator III Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the daily
activities of configuration and operation of systems which may be
mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
- Plan and monitor the optimizing of system operation and
resource utilization, and perform systems capacity analysis and
planning.
- Plan and monitor assistance to users in accessing and using
business systems.
- Commensurate experience and education.
Qualifications
Education and Years of Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in a systems administration role, with a
proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining
complex IT systems.
- Expertise in multiple operating systems, including Windows
Server, Linux, and Unix.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and
technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and
switching.
- Strong experience with virtualization and cloud computing
platforms, such as VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure, or Google
Cloud.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like
PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to
troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey
technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified
Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP),
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)) are
highly desirable.
- Leadership and project management skills, with a track record
of successfully leading IT projects from conception to completion.
