Degree and have hands-on Construction Contract Law experience! If
you have 3 years plus in private practice or a business setting and
are excited to grow your career in contracts, negotiation, and
dispute resolution, we want you. Join us full-time at our Corporate
Offices in Henderson.The Role
- Drafting and administration of contracts and legal
documentation.
- Review of tender documentation and identification of contract
risks.
- Review Head Contracts using CRA and issue commercial
clarifications.
- Prepare and managing securities and insurances in accordance
with contractual requirements and company policies.
- Conducting and co-ordinating commercial and legal negotiations
with Principals
- Assist in drafting of strategic pre-contracts agreements.
- Assist in identifying, briefing, and engaging specialist
external legal services as required.
- Reviewing contractual commitments and interpretation of rights
and obligations made under contracts by the business.
- Liaising with company procurement, risk management and audit
personnel.
- Provide advice regarding contracting, project and risk
management across the business.
- Provide advice and input to internal estimating team on
insurance and tender risks.
- Support the Pre Contracts Manager in providing legal advice
across the business to management and executives for contractual
issues.About YouTo be successful in the role you will possess the
following:
- University degree in Australian Law
- Minimum 3 years' Post admission experience in private practice
or in-house
- Experience in Australian construction law
- Relevant experience in the heavy engineering and construction
industry,
- Good understanding of construction contract and risk allocation
program(s) including critical path, float and delay analysis.
