The purpose of this position is to provide program and administrative support for OTAT and perform special assignments of a confidential nature that involve a wide variety of administrative and program duties requiring action or input by one or more components. Responsibilities Performs typing work using word processing software and equipment Word processing software and printing devices are used to produce a variety of a standardized documents such as letters and reports. Prepares correspondence, reports and other documents for senior agency officials. Provides information about the organization, functions, activities and personnel, as appropriate. Processes incoming and outgoing mail including express mail and packages designated for couriers. Review documents and reports for completeness and enters pertinent information into an automated tracking system. Travel Required 25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position. Qualifications In order to qualify for GS-0303-5/6 Time-in-Grade requirements by 09/05/2019. For the GS-5: One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal Service. Examples of specialized experience include: performing typing and office automation work using word processing software and equipment; preparing and composing correspondence and reports; using electronic files and records to gather information; receiving and directing calls and visitors; processing incoming and outgoing mail; making travel arrangements and monitoring time and attendance documents and reports; OR, Successfully completed 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree; OR, combinations of successfully completed post-high school education (in excess of the first 60 semester hours) and specialized experience. The education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. For the GS-6: One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal Service. Examples of specialized experience include: preparing correspondence, requisitions, training nominations, ordering and maintaining supplies; preparing travel authorizations and time and attendance. Implementing and performing basic data analysis; OR, Successfully completed 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree; OR, combinations of successfully completed post-high school education (in excess of the first 60 semester hours) and specialized experience. The education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. In accordance with Office of Personnel Management policy, federal employees are assumed to have gained experience by performing duties and responsibilities appropriate for their official series and grade level as described in their position description. Experience that would not normally be part of the employee's position is creditable, however, when documented by satisfactory evidence, such as a signed memorandum from the employee's supervisor or an SF-50 or SF-52 documenting an official detail or other official assignment. The documentation must indicate whether the duties were performed full time or, if part time, the percentage of times the other duties were performed.
