Job DetailsJob Location: Washington DC, DCSalary Range: UndisclosedDescriptionPWS Title: FOIA Analyst LeadLocation: Remote (DC area)Clearance Level: NACI/T1ResponsibilitiesThe Senior FOIA Analyst/On-Site Lead will support the Office of Privacy and Open Government's FOIA and privacy programs to:

• Reduce the FOIA request backlog by at least 10 percent, aligning with the Department of Justice's goals.
• Complete incoming requests within statutory time limits to prevent backlog increase.
• Improve response times to Privacy Act requests.The Office of Privacy and Open Government's privacy program develops departmental privacy policies, publishes Privacy Act system of records notices (SORNs), oversees privacy programs, manages breach response activities, and reviews privacy impact assessments.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years of project management experience, including leading a project team and resource coordination. Experience managing contract performance and personnel.
  • One (1) year of experience interpreting and applying FOIA, Privacy Act (PA) 1974, and related laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including drafting responses and record maintenance for FOIA and PA requests; or three (3) years as a working paralegal.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.Desired Qualifications:
    • Five (5) years of project management experience, including overseeing teams and resource coordination, and managing contract performance and personnel.
    • Two (2) years of experience processing FOIA requests using automation tools such as eDiscovery.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer/Data Science, History, Information/Data/Knowledge Management, International Affairs/Relations, Law, Library/Information Science, Management Information Systems, Paralegal Studies, Philosophy, or Public Administration.
    • Project Management Professional certification or equivalent.
