do Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you
Amgen is searching for a Patent Agent Biotechnology to join our
Intellectual Property and Litigation group. At Amgen, Patent Agents
are integral to the development of robust intellectual property
strategy. We are looking for candidates that have the creativity
and experience to navigate cutting edge scientific and legal
considerations. The Patent Agent will work under the direction and
supervision of patent attorneys to draft, file, and prosecute
patent applications for Amgens therapeutic products and product
candidates (e.g., antibodies, siRNAs, multispecific molecules,
protein constructs, formulations, and related methods). This role
can be based at Amgens research site in South San Francisco,
California, Cambridge, Massachusetts, Thousand Oaks, California OR
as a remote position in the United States. Responsibilities will
include: reviewing invention disclosure records to identify
patentable subject matter; drafting, filing and prosecuting patent
applications worldwide; conducting prior art searches; assisting
patent attorneys in the preparation of freedom-to-operate opinions;
assisting patent attorneys in conducting due diligence in support
of licensing activities; and assisting with adversarial proceedings
such as challenges to/defenses of patents in Patent and Trial
Appeal Board (PTAB), opposition, and other forums in the United
States and abroad. What we expect of you We are all different, yet

professional we seek is focused, savvy and with these
qualifications. Basic Qualifications: Registered to practice before
the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Four plus (4) years of
experience practicing intellectual property law focused on
biopharma and life sciences Preferred Qualifications: 10 or more
years of biotech patent preparation and prosecution experience An
advanced degree such as a Masters or Ph.D. in molecular biology,
cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, or
structural biology Excellent analytic, legal drafting and oral and
written communication skills Strong client service focus; ability
to work efficiently, to prioritize workflow, and to manage
multifaceted projects in a fast-paced environment. Amgen is

the way. The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S.
(excluding Puerto Rico) is $177,731.00 to $217,000.00. Actual
salary will vary based on several factors including, but not
limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. In
