ATCC, a leading nonprofit biological resources and standards organization, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Quality Assurance Specialist to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Quality Assurance Program. This Associate Quality Assurance Specialist role is ideal for a recent college graduate with biology or related degree seeking industry experience and the ability to contribute to ATCCC's mission. Prior success with attention to detail, auditing, curiosity and an eagerness to learn, with a focus on process improvement. In this role, you will contribute to maintaining process consistency, identifying deviations, and proactively preventing defects to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Quality Compliance & Process Oversight: Supports the organization in maintaining and monitoring adherence to established quality assurance standards across manufacturing, production, and customer service functions. Ensures work is performed in alignment with internal processes and external regulatory requirements. Documentation & Audit Support: Assists in the development, control, and maintenance of documentation, including SOPs and controlled records. Supports internal and vendor audits by preparing reports, tracking action items, and ensuring proper document retention and change control practices. Risk Management & Continuous Improvement: Collaborates with departments to identify nonconformities, assess risks, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Contributes to internal training efforts and analyzes quality metrics to support ongoing improvement and informed decision-making. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 0–2 years' experience or equivalent experience. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, especially in documentation and record-keeping. Basic understanding of quality assurance principles, regulatory compliance, and risk management preferred. Ability to interpret and apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards. Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting, training, and cross-functional collaboration. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with document control systems or quality management software. Ability to support audits, analyze data, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, process-driven environment. Benefits The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 to $60,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
