Job Title: Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab Technician Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: 2 years required License: Valid state license Certifications: ACLS, ARRT R, BLS, Fluoro Permit Must-Have: - Must have 2 years of experience. - No first-time candidates accepted. - Must float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. - Required to be on call every other week. - Must be available to work every other holiday. Description: The role involves working in the Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab settings. Candidates will perform specialized procedures, including tunneled catheter placements, embolizations, and drain placements. This position includes tasks such as performing angiograms, thrombectomies, and inserting IVC filters. In addition to interventional radiology, the role may involve pain management procedures, including epidural blocks and radiofrequency ablations. Technicians will also conduct vascular procedures, such as fistulograms and stent placements. The position requires accurate monitoring of patients and setup of necessary equipment, including C-arms. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with emergency response and the ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a sterile field during procedures and have skills in EKG lead placement. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams will be necessary to provide optimal patient care. Experience with PACS and familiarity with CT and ultrasound are preferred but not required.
