Services (Consulting, Financial & Legal) What you will do Lets do
this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will be
responsible for Global Category Management for Professional
Services (Consulting, Financial, and Legal). As Global Category
Lead Professional Services (Consulting, Financial & Legal) you will
report to the Global Strategic Sourcing Corporate Services Lead in
the USA (Remote). Your role includes developing multi-year category
strategies that address business needs while delivering integrated
3rd party solutions. You will build enterprise-wide business
partnerships, and activate Strategic Sourcing resources to get
results, reducing costs and enabling topline performance. This role
will drive supplier performance, manage risk, and deliver sustained
value across a complex global Professional Services landscape.
Strategic Contribution Own and evolve the global category strategy
for Professional Services, encompassing Consulting, Financial, and
Legal, with a focus on unlocking value, optimizing supplier
relationships, and mitigating risk. Drive best in-class business
partnerships with key functions such as FP&A, Legal, Finance,
Risk, and Compliance. Understand and influence business needs to
drive procurement strategies that support enterprise priorities in
a proactive manner. Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader
across the organization, delivering insights on market trends,
supplier capabilities, and go-to-market standard processes tailored
to the Professional Services space. Lead the creation of robust,
financially grounded cases (e.g., build vs. buy, total cost of
ownership, should cost modeling, supplier consolidation) that
support procurement decisions and drive measurable impact. Stay
ahead of Professional Services market shiftslegal fee structures,
consulting delivery models, financial risk trendsand translate
insights into actionable strategies for Amgen. Develop and
implement multi-year category strategies that align with overall
enterprise objectives, partner priorities, and long-term
organizational goals. Leverage data analytics and critical metrics
to monitor category health, track performance against targets, and
inform continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate across
regions to develop global category strategies aligned to local
business priorities. Build relationships with external experts,
peer companies, and industry bodies to bring leading practices and
innovation back into Amgens Professional Services sourcing
strategy. Leadership Provide strategic oversight as the global lead
for Professional Services sourcing, ensuring alignment between
category strategies and Amgens evolving business needs. Act as a
trusted advisor to ensure that procurement initiatives are aligned
with broader organizational objectives. Guide and facilitate
collaboration across cross-functional teams and regional partners,
ensuring that procurement strategies meet the diverse needs of the
organization and are implemented effectively. Ensure that all
Professional Services engagements are managed in compliance with
regulatory, contractual, and operational risk requirements. Partner
with Legal, Compliance, Data Privacy, and Cybersecurity teams to
maintain oversight of risk mitigation strategies and ensure
alignment with standard methodologies. Collaborate with Strategic
Sourcing peers to oversee the strategic approach to complex
negotiations for Professional Services contracts, providing
guidance and ensuring that the right processes and frameworks are
in place for RFPs, supplier evaluations, and contract development.
Demonstrate maturity to activate procurement resources towards
category priorities while managing expectations with partners. What

Senior Manager with these qualifications. Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Global Strategic Sourcing,
Procurement or Consulting, Legal or Financial Services experience
Or Masters degree and 4 years of Global Strategic Sourcing,
Procurement or Consulting, Legal or Financial Services experience
Or Bachelors degree and 6 years of Global Strategic Sourcing,
Procurement or Consulting, Legal or Financial Services experience
Or Associates degree and 10 years of Global Strategic Sourcing,
Procurement or Consulting, Legal or Financial Services experience
Or High school diploma/GED and 12 years of Global Strategic
Sourcing, Procurement or Consulting, Legal or Financial Services
experience Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership in
category management across Consulting, Financial, and Legal
Services categories, including vendor management, cost
optimization, and performance measurement. Deep understanding of
category management principles, supplier relationship management,
and contract lifecycle management. Strong financial, legal, and
contractual fluency to navigate nuanced professional services
agreements and deliver business-aligned outcomes. A track record of
driving innovation in category strategy development, supplier
engagement models, and internal collaborator partnerships.
Exceptional ability to communicate complex category strategies,
influence senior stakeholders, and manage change across functions
and regions. Familiarity with procurement platforms such as Ariba,
Scout, Sirion Labs as well as ERP systems and advanced analytics
tools to support decision-making and process automation. Ability to
proactively identify underlying business needs and craft strategic
solutions across the Professional Services landscape. Capable of
using spend analytics and benchmarking to inform category
strategies and uncover new value opportunities. Deep understanding
of regulatory landscapes, particularly in Financial and Legal
Services, with the ability to navigate and manage compliance
requirements. Ability to articulate a forward-looking category
vision for Professional Services and rally partners around a

range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted.
Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not
limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. In
